As you may already know the presiding Election Officer in his election notification dated 3rd October, 2015 had called for elections from 5th October as well as an EGM to announce the election results at 6.00 p.m. on 7th November, 2015 at the Community Hall, near the shopping complex, IITM Campus. Please find below the Second official notification of the EGM. Members who are interested in bringing up points for discussion as well as amendments to Bye-laws are requested to send the same to secretary@iitmaa.org on or before 11.59 p.m. on 25th October, 2015.
We also wish to inform you all that immediately after the EGM, IITMAA will felicitate Prof.A.Veeraraghavan with the IITMAA Award for Service to the Institute in non academic spheres. This award was to be handed over at the AGM held on 11th July 2015 at Hotel My Fortune but we could not do so since Prof.Veeraraghavan was then travelling. The event will conclude with dinner.
The EGM will be preceded by a Diwali Dhamaka celebration of the Chennai Chapter and alumni & their families who are interested in putting up any entertainment will be provided a platform from 4.30 p.m. when the celebrations will commence. Those interested may contact the General Manager by mail to: alumni@iitm.ac.in with copy to generalmanager.iitmaa@gmail.com We propose to have lot of fun & games and all Chennai based alumni are welcome to attend with their families. Interested alumni are requested to RSVP to the email ids mentioned above since we need to know the exact numbers make the necessary arrangements.
