You will be pleased to note that we have nearly completed three fourths of the voting period after eight days of voting in IITMAA's EC Elections and a total of only 359 alumni have voted so far.
It has been brought to our notice that a few requests for reset of password and registration on IITMAA website are not reaching us. Similarly a few cases have been reported where the reset password has not been received by the alumni. We also had connectivity issues at our office yesterday and this may have caused some delay. Those who have sent mails to techsupport@iitmaa.com are therefore requested to kindly check your inbox as well as spam box and if you still have problems kindly send an e-mail to generalmanager.iitmaa@gmail.com and we shall do the needful immediately.
Please understand that we do not sit on any requests provided we are made aware of the same.
Given below is the statistic of voting after day 8:
Day 8: No of alumni who voted = 41, no. of votes cast = 77
Day 9 is now in progress
Total so far:
No. of alumni who have voted = 359,
No. of votes cast for both positions = 688
The statistics are rather poor given that we have around 40,000 who have graduated from our institute and we therefore seek your votes to make IITMAA more participatory and vibrant.
I also wish to inform you that an alumnus entering the voting software will have only one opportunity to vote. I therefore request you to vote for both positions simultaneously since the software will shut down and not allow you to vote again if you vote for one positions.
Please note that the contest for both positions is neck to neck and every vote counts. Therefore cast your votes to ensure that the candidate of your choice is elected.
