STATISTICS ON DAY THREE OF VOTING – IT IS OUR DUTY TO VOTE TO KEEP THE FLAG FLYING HIGH

Voting has entered the Fourth day and the Third Day's voting has been marginally better than the first two days statistics which were rather disappointing. We IITians must do better than Stanford or MIT and we can do this only if we set an example of participative Democracy in our Alumni Association's activities.

We must not forget that our Alumni Association is for you the alumni and was set up by Alumni to promote and protect the interests of our Alumni.

SO DON’T HESTITATE. VOTE NOW

Given below is the statistics of voting after Day 2 of polling in the IITMAA Executive Committee Elections.

Day 1: No of alumni who voted = 50, no. of votes cast = 96
Day 2: No of alumni who voted = 46, no. of votes cast = 89
Day 3: No of alumni who voted = 71, no. of votes cast = 167
Day 4 is now in progress

Total so far:

No. of alumni voting = 167,
No. of votes cast for both positions = 376

The statistics are rather poor given that we have around 40,000 who have graduated from our institute and we therefore seek your support to make IITMAA more participatory and vibrant.

All alumni who are registered on our web database can cast their votes for candidates of their choice until 16:00 Hours (IST) on 11th July 2015. The results of the voting will be announced at an AGM to be held at 18:30 Hours (IST) the same day.
