IIT MADRAS TO CONDUCT FIRST MODEL UN CONFERENCE FROM 15th -17th JANUARY 2016

IIT Madras is conducting its first Model UN Conference from 15th-17th January 2016, with over 200 participating delegates from colleges all throughout the country, along with a highly reputed and experienced Executive Board, and will house 4 committees, namely the United Nations Security Council, the Human Rights Council, The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) and the General Assembly First Committee: Disarmament and International Security (DISEC). The MUN conference is one of the fastest growing MUNs in South India, and has already witnessed a massive amount of registrations more than 2 months prior to the actual event, and has had an online reach of more than 1500 interested participants, along with hosting one of the most reputed Executive Boards in the Chennai MUN circuit.

The MUN conference, the flagship event of the Oratory Club, IIT Madras, aims to promote the concept of Model UN to college-going students throughout the country and especially in the very competitive and nationally reputed Chennai MUN circuit. What is Model UN? It is an academic simulation and competition involving the participation of students in several UN committees. Model UN can easily be likened to a streamlined, highly sophisticated form of debate.

The conference organisers are looking for around 2-2.5 lakhs of funding, and are ready to provide logo presence (Both online and on print), banners, standees, video advertisements or stall space, depending on mutual requirements.
